Yasmin is a junior studying Government and Economics at Harvard. She was previously the director of media & marketing for HULEAD before being elected as co-president. Outside of LEAD, she works as a course assistant and as a library desk assistant. She is also a social chair for the Harvard Undergraduate Brazilian Association. She is passionate about bridging gaps in professionalism for Latinas and being a mentor for students from similar backgrounds.

Lia Galindo, a member of the Class of 2027 studying Molecular and Cellular Biology with a secondary in English. LEAD has been a deeply personal journey for her long before she ever set foot on Harvard’s campus. Within a privileged institution, LEAD has given her the space and responsibility to give back to the community that shaped her. It has become more than an organization. It is a family, one built by brilliant, resilient, and endlessly hardworking Latina sisters. Being able to help rebuild and grow the conference and now serve as Co-President is a privilege she carries for every Latina who dared to dream of belonging in spaces like this, and for those still finding their voice.

Olivia Jimenez is a first-year concentrating in Computer Science & Government. Outside of LEAD, Olivia is also involved in WeCode and The Harvard Crimson. In their free time, they enjoy baking, playing video games, karaoke and creative writing. They joined LEAD because they are passionate about uplifting fellow Latinas.

Alejandra Briceno is a first-year concentrating in History & Literature or Sociology. Outside of LEAD, Alejandra is also involved in Latinas Unidas, the Harvard Undergraduate Legal Committee, Citizenship Tutoring, and the Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team. In their free time, they enjoy playing card games and watching movies with friends, reading and working out. They joined LEAD because this organization gives her the opportunity to connect with Latinas across the country and on her own campus. She is grateful for the opportunity to provide mentorship and guidance, but even more grateful to continue learning from the community she loves dearly.

Audrey Cardoso is a sophomore concentrating in Sociology with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. Outside of LEAD, Audrey works for the Harvard Admissions and Financial Aid Office as a Recruitment Ambassador and is involved in Legally Latino, legal advocacy, and entrepreneurship. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts and exploring local coffee shops. She joined LEAD because, as a first-generation college student from an immigrant family, she deeply believes in the power of representation, mentorship, and creating spaces where Latinas feel seen, supported, and empowered to lead with confidence.

Angelica is a first-year concentrating in Computer Science with a secondary in EMR. She grew up in Compton, CA and is passionate about social impact issues in education and tech she witnessed first-hand. Angelica joined LEAD to support fellow first-generation Latinas in their professional journeys!

Nicole Uribe Lopez is a Harvard undergraduate and Latina junior at Harvard College studying Government on the pre-law track. She has been actively involved with the Latina Empowerment and Development (LEAD) Conference since her freshman year and is proud to serve as the Co-Director of Finance for the 2026 conference. Nicole is deeply committed to LEAD’s mission of empowerment, leadership, and development for all women!

Nicole’s favorite part of LEAD is the opportunity to build meaningful connections with women across different class years and universities, creating a strong and supportive network rooted in shared experiences and collective growth. She values LEAD as a space that uplifts Latina voices, encourages authentic leadership, and fosters both personal and professional development. Being part of a conference centered on women’s empowerment is especially meaningful to her, as advocacy, mentorship, and community-building are central to her passions and long-term goals.

Cecilia is a first year studying physics and government. She is a student athlete, playing on the varsity rugby team, and was part of their national championship win this season. Outside of LEAD she is a passionate vegan and media manager of the Harvard Plant Based Association. She’s also member of the Harvard Undergraduate Association inclusion committee. Although not positive what she wants to do in the future, she loves to help people and hopes to make a career out of this passion. In her free time she likes to write music, watch love island, and cuddle with her puppy. She joined LEAD because she wanted to stay connected to her Puerto Rican roots, while also contributing to such an impactful conference.

Angie is a first year concentrating in Economics with a citation in Spanish. Outside of LEAD, Angie is also involved in the Harvard Political Review and the IOP. In their free time, they enjoy reading, crafting, writing, and going down YouTube rabbit holes. She joined LEAD because she wants to empower Latinas everywhere and uplift their voices and successes. She’s proud to be working alongside other amazing Latina leaders!

Valeria is a first-year who intends to concentrate in Government with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, Rights. Outside of LEAD, Valeria is also a member of the Harvard Cheerleading Team, Latinas Unidas, and is involved in nonprofit work in the Greater Boston area. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, reading, and watching romcoms. She joined LEAD because she hopes to help Latinas build a community where they can uplift one another and thrive professionally.

Jacqueline Pena Gomez is a first-generation sophomore concentrating in Economics with a secondary in Computer Science and a French citation. Outside of LEAD, Jacqueline is actively involved in Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business, Harvard Student Agencies, the Harvard Undergraduate Catholic Center, and Harvard’s Boxing Club. In her free time, she enjoys working out, baking, and exploring new places. Jacqueline joined LEAD to be part of a community that uplifts and empowers Latinas from similar backgrounds to her own. She is deeply committed to giving back to the communities that shaped her and hopes to use her experiences to help create pathways for others to succeed.

Darianny Nunez is a sophomore (Class of 2028) concentrating in Neuroscience on the Neurobiology track, with a secondary in Psychology. Outside of LEAD, she is involved in the Dominican Student Association, where she serves as Secretary, and Latinos in Healthcare as the Director of Outreach. She was also involved in a PBHA program, Strong Women Strong Girls, where she worked as a mentor and advocate for elementary school girls. In her free time, she enjoys reading romance books, watching movies and shows, painting, spending time with friends, and going on walks. She joined LEAD because the community has always felt welcoming, and she values the conference as a space for Latinas to engage with and empower one another.

Sophia is a first-year student planning to concentrate in Social Studies and Romance Languages & Literatures, with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. Outside of LEAD, Sophia is also involved in Politics of Race & Ethnicity as the Communications lead, CIVICS, Alpha Phi, Fuerza Latina as a First-Year Representative, and as a mentor for the PBHA's Recent Immigrant Term-time Enrichment (RITE) program. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and watching movies. She joined LEAD because she wanted to be a part of an organization that focuses on the empowerment of Latinas and works to make communities that support them.

Michelle Ramirez-Martinez is a sophomore concentrating in Human Developmental Regenerative Biology with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. Outside of LEAD, she conducts undergraduate research studying cardiac regeneration using iPS cell–derived cardiomyocytes, and at the Brigham Center for Surgery and Public Health, where she supports research on language equity in surgical care and AI-based surgical training. She also tutors in the Adult ESOL Program, providing English instruction to Spanish-speaking immigrant communities. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the city’s coffee shops in search of the best cappuccino. She joined LEAD so that the next generation of girls won’t have to experience the lack of representation in STEM fields that she did growing up.

Sarahi Magdaleno is a sophomore concentrating in Sociology with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. Outside of LEAD, Sarahi is also involved in Concilio Latino, PBHA, Harvard Folklórico, and HLAB. In their free time, they enjoy reading novels, hiking, and spending time with their loved ones. They joined LEAD because of the strong and welcoming Latina community and the variety of professional and personal connections/opportunities provided through LEAD.
